Presentation to City Parks and Recreation Department on May 22, 2014 went very well.  Approximately 10 adults and several children attended from the neighborhood.  The suggestion receiving the most "votes" by the attendees was "park ranger on duty" for security and safety. Other comments were regarding poor watering control and grass that was too wet/muddy, lack of flowers, separating basketball courts from children's play area, more and scattered seating and scattered picnic benches as well as nuisance of parked cars and lack of street cleaning due to parked cars. Play equipment was a big concern of the children in attendance. Buena Vista Beautifiers presented a Story Book with 5 themes.
